Catford is the closest synagogue to the Olympic equestrian events at Greenwich Park Olympic venue and the shooting events at Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich.

The Synagogue has been established since 1937 and moved to Crantock Road in 1952. The core catchment area of the Synagogue comprises approximately 300 square miles, stretching from New Cross to Orpington and from Crystal Palace to Dartford.

The main membership is grouped in clusters around Bromley, Beckenham, North Kent, and the South-East postal codes of Eltham, Catford, Lewisham, Woolwich, Blackheath and Greenwich.

There are approximately 220 families of the Synagogue. It has an active Ladies’ Society, Cheder Classes, Friendship Club, Charitable Committee and supports the local WIZO, AJEX, UJIA and Limmud committees. We are affiliated to the United Synagogue.

There are good transport links (Bellingham and Catford Stations) to Central London.
