Jewish London Through History

Please join me, Jonathan Taylor, for interesting walks around Jewish London. I follow three different routes, each with their own unique views of London Jewish life through the ages.

Route I – Medieval settlement in the City of London featuring the Old Jewish quarter, the stories about changing fortunes of the Medieval Jews and the decline from prosperity to poverty and eventually expulsion in 1290 .

Route II- Return and resettlement of the Jews from 1656 in the City of London and the growth of the Community in the “Old Jewish East End” visiting Bevis Marks, Dukes Place, Sandys Row, Spitalfields, Brick Lane.

Route III- The Tidal Wave of Immigration - Walk through the fascinating corners of Whitechapel, Stepney and Mile End into the “New Jewish East End” which accommodated the Tidal Wave of Immigration.

Please phone me, Jonathan Taylor (on +44 (0)7785 296985), or email me to arrange departure times and meeting points.
